The GRIT Project has designed a process to help you find the RIGHT career path. Our goal is to help you identify a plan, remove obstacles, and get connected with resources. Here’s what you can expect:
Step 1: Register
Step 2: Take the Career Assessment
The career assessment is designed to identify your personality, interests, and abilities. Many people spend little time thinking about what job is right for them. As a result, 70% of all people in the United States are dissatisfied with their job. People who work in a job that aligns with their strengths find more success and job satisfaction. Consider this an investment in yourself and your future happiness!
Step 3: Review Your Results with a Career Coach
The futureplans.com system immediately processes your assessment results through a sophisticated algorithm that recommends career pathways that are right for you.
Upon completion of the career assessment, you will schedule a 1:1 session with a professional career coach. During the session, you will explore your results such as
- Personality analysis
- Interests analysis against career clusters
- Abilities compared against Department of Labor rankings
- A personalized list of occupations and fields of study associated with your strengths
- An overview of salary data associated with favorite occupations
- A list of additional careers organized by career cluster, which can be used for a deep dive
Step 4: Schedule Workforce Training (if needed)
Through a series of questions, your future plan unfolds by answering a series of questions and deciding which next step is right for you. Whether you are looking for immediate employment, starting certificate-based training or enrolling in a 2 or 4-year degree program, the GRIT Project has resources to help you.
Step 5: Find a Job (if ready to work)
If you’re ready to get to work immediately or after workforce training, the GRIT Project and the futureplans.com career system provide an interface to search for current job openings by career paths with advanced filters for searching remote vs in-person positions. Our team is ready to help you!
