Grit Ohio

Adults

Find a path forward!

Adult Programs are here to help You!

The GRIT Project focus is to help Appalachian communities become vibrant and sustainable through individual resiliency of community members. We do this by offering a no-cost to the client, career assessment focused on the ability to stay here in Appalachia while also doing the work they feel enthusiastic about. Overall, we want to help individuals become not only self-sufficient but also prosper financially with year over year salary increases. This will then allow for economic prosperity within the community to support collective resiliency.

Our focus with adults who are returning to the workforce post any type of life affliction (incarceration, substance use disorder, human trafficking, homelessness, domestic violence, etc…) is to help each individual find purpose. Our staff offers a different approach in workforce initiatives as staff train in the following areas: substance use disorder, mental health first aid, trauma-informed care, and other behavioral health training.

We are working together to lift up the community with the skills needed to secure employment in your community. This program has no charge for the residents of Appalachian Counties in Ohio.

Introducing the Project REACH Team!

We are excited to share our Project REACH initiative here at Future Plans Inc. The project is funded under the Appalachian Regional Commission Inspire resource. This project is built to help three specific initiatives of reentry in Pike, Scioto, and Jackson counties. Our focus is to collaborate with the local treatment providers, workforce agencies and reentry staff to support individuals in successfully entering the workforce.
